We’ve had these Christian cards for a couple weeks and love how the simple concept of the two-sided card really helps my 8 year old son open up to me as his dad. When we sit down to have a “card talk” he is excited because he knows he also has a question on his side of the card to ask me that will take us into deeper discussion. That’s really a different experience than other books or devotions for Christian fathers that have resulted in me just reading and then asking him the questions at the end of that days’ page. Those aren’t bad, but this two-sided card format is really engaging to bring out conversations that really deepen our relationship. Last time we did one of these I learned about how my son was really feeling about things kids in a class next to his class said about him at school. We definitely also covered the key Christian value on the card that night, but I don’t think the deeper discussion would have come up in the typical Christian devotions book format. I am really thankful these cards are out there now. I hope more Christian fathers will catch on to these and use them. It’s a super cost effective investment in building a lifetime relationship with your son.
